It’s a familiar story - international beauty contest catapults participant to instant stardom. With Erin McNaught, however, no one is quite sure how the story will end.

Representing Australia at the 2006 Miss Universe competition, Erin was thrust into the spotlight when she became a personal favorite of Donald Trump.
An appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman was watched world-over, perennially sealing her celebrity fate.

Erin returned to Australia a star and continued to shine as she underwent a grueling publicity circuit. Displaying poise, eloquence and a little bit of cheek, Erin impressed the local media with her youthful vitality.

It wasn’t long before Erin was in-demand, both as a model and a brand ambassador, and she quickly landed a contract with one of Australia’s best-loved contemporary fashion brands – Wish.

Not wanting to restrict her many talents to one area, Erin pursued a career in television and media. A self-confessed adrenalin junkie, Erin seemed the perfect choice when she won the role as presenter of Network Ten’s national gaming and gadget show, Cybershack. In 2009 Erin returned as Cybershack co host on a new network, Channel 9.

The popular series delivered the freshest take on must-have gadgets, technology and video games in cutting-edge style, with Erin playing an essential role in the show’s ongoing success. In its fourth season, CyberShack scored a major industry gong: The Sun Microsystems IT Journalism Award for Best Multimedia Coverage.

The next big break came to Erin after winning a role on Australia’s best-loved soap drama – Neighbours, for which she temporarily relocated to Melbourne. With its enviable international audience, Erin’s role as Sienna elevated her career to a new and exciting level.

Regular appearances on Channel 9’s, 20 – 1 continued to fuel her appetite for television and presenting.

In 2009 Erin’s enthusiasm, go getter attitude and quirky sense of fun landed her the coveted role of permanent VJ on MTV alongside Ruby Rose and Darren McMullen. Erin is exceeding everyone’s expectations presenting MTV news and hosting various MTV events and segments.

Since joining MTV, Erin has been a guest VJ on news, MTV Summer and the Optus 180 launch. In between appearances, Erin has is in constant demand and a widely sort after brand ambassador. Erin was chosen as the Antz Pantz Ambassador for SS09 launch and stars in the national Pepsi campaign.

A keen mountain biker, snowboarder and overall sports fiend, Erin is also a passionate advocate for environmental issues. She has been an ambassador for The Big Switch; an organisation focussed on climate change solutions and is a member of the prestigious Mod Squad supporting Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. Layne Beachley alongside and Erin and other television personalities joined forces help promote the Landcare Australia's Your Planet Needs You campaign. The media call asked Australian to register their skills for the volunteer database on local environmental projects in the lead up to World Environment Day. An initiative Erin hopes to continue.

While past studies in Wildlife Biology have harnessed an ambition to produce wildlife documentaries, Erin is certainly relishing her current roles and growing profile.  She is also proving to be an engaging and accomplished public speaker, always adding her own brand of youthful fun.

A combination of versatility, professionalism and an infectious personality all contribute to her successful media career.
